This have been announced during International Youth Day which is celebrated annually on 12 August each year and bring youth issues to the attention of the international community and to celebrate the day of youth as active partners in the global society.
It was organized by Better Future for Generations (BFG) as youth led Organization with the mission to promote inclusion of Youth.
Announcing by United Nations International Youth Day celebrations on August under the theme: “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a world for all Ages” Better Future for Generations (BFG) join the rest of the world to celebrate the day.
In A virtual discussion BFG gathered National & International youth to celebrate the day. The discussion focused on technological knowledge & skills in creating opportunities to push intergenerational solidarity as well as joining hands in creating a world for all ages.
Madam Marver B. Woodley, a General secretary of the National youth council for Antigua and Barbuda was a panelist during the celebration. She highlights that technological knowledge & skills will be a backbone and a bridge in creating opportunities to push intergenerational solidarity as well as joining hands in creating a world for all ages.
Mr. Jackson Muheto, BFG deputy legal representative mentioned the power of unity and collaboration among the young generations as a prior assignment of the youth, Government and civil society organization in closing unemployment Gap among the youth as big contribution to achieve on related intergenerational matter and create a world for all ages.
On December 17, 1999, the UN General Assembly endorsed the recommendation made by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth, and International Youth Day was formed. It was first celebrated on August 12, 2000, and ever since the day has been used to educate society. Mobilize the youth in politics, and manage resources to address global issues
