Today 23rd May 2020 Better Future for Generations(BFG) www.bfg.org.rw in Partnerships with Kicukiro district, Nyarugunga Sector & Next Leaders Initiative For Sustainability Africa Program launched the distribution of modern hand washing facilities to community markets as access to clean water linked to COVID-19 prevention in community markets. The project was supported Nelis Africa Program. www.nelisglobal.org
The Government of Rwanda has recommended frequently hand washing to avoid COVID-19 outbreaks at all entries points.
The two community markets were not able to access modern hand washing facilities (Kandagirukarabe) due to cost reasons
Markets leaders have appreciated the support and committed a daily management of these tools, not only by avoiding novel Coronavirus pandemic but also strengthening hygiene conditions.
BFG deputy Regal Representative Mr. Jacques MUTARAMBIRWA thanked the donor (NELIS) NYARUGUNGA Sector and KICUKIRO district for the support and vowed more partnership and collaboration in different sectors.
Josephine UMUTESI, community market leader and one of project beneficiaries appreciated the support which was very necessary during this time covid-19 crisis.
Olivier MBONYINSHUTI Rwanda National Youth Council Sector coordinator who was the guest of honor during a campaigns in his speech “you must wash hands frequently, respect social distancing and always keep facemasks for any symptoms call 114 he added”
The Government of Rwanda adopted Coronavirus outbreak measures and this resulted zero death.
