Japanese Young graduates urged to create innovative solutions

The Executive Director of Better Future for Generations Mr.  Paul HABINEZA has called upon youth university graduates from Japan  for effectiveness and responding to different issues facing Rwandan community especially in rural areas.

The call was made on 5th March 2020   while closing the pitching and awarding ceremony of KOBE Startups Africa 2020 that held in Kigali Heights Hotel. The event was organized in partnership with KOBE city of Japan through a project Kobe Startups Africa 2020. Students visited different places in Rwanda including private sectors companies, institutions and tourism areas. While visiting they collected, some data that can be developed into profitable business. The group was composed of 10 teams, and each team was given five minutes to explain and answer the audience questions. After presentation, a team of judges headed by Mr. Christian NDATIMANA, a business expert, ranked the best project.

Young girl Karin Yamada a student from Okinawa Christian School was the winner of the competition. HISASHI NAKAZAWA, innovation Specialist in Business promotion division Kobe Enterprise Promotion Bureau, said: “Rwanda is a good country, safe and clean with a rapid economic growth. Japanese students leant a lot and they are planning to invest in different areas.”

During closing event, Executive Director of Better Future for Generation told the audience that different opportunities available in the organization, namely ICT programs, sewing, women empowerment and disability inclusion programs, which need strong partnership.
