International Youth Day is celebrated annually on 12 August to bring youth issues to the attention of the international community and to celebrate the potential of youth as active partners in the global society.
On December 17, 1999, the UN General Assembly endorsed the recommendation made by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth, and International Youth Day was formed. It was first celebrated on August 12, 2000, and ever since the day has been used to educate society. Mobilize the youth in politics, and manage resources to address global problems.
Better Future for Generations (BFG) as youth led Organization with the mission to promote inclusion of Youth will celebrate this event on Sunday 15th August 2021 virtually from 3:00- 4h30 pm Kigali under the theme “Transforming food system: Youth innovation for human and planetary Health.” According to the event Coordinator Mr. Christian NIYIRORA, the event will bring together more than 50 young leaders around the world, discuss on Food Security, and discuss on the role of young innovators.
